Mike Huckabee's Warning: Evangelicals Will Stay Home If GOP Ditches Social Issues

Watch Mike Huckabee's interview on The Brody File show this week. When asked what would happen with evangelical voters if the GOP ditches and downplays social issues, he tells me, “It just leaves them at home. They just don't go vote."

And when it comes to his view on traditional marriage? "I'm not going to change my view just to win your vote."

Watch.

Gov Huckabee might have a little problem with Christian Conservatives. While we greatly appreciate his solid stand on Traditional Marriage in public, behind the scenes he has actively promoted the Common Core curriculum (any supporter of Mike's for president; really should do some vetting about this issue with him.) Although he has said that he no longer supports Common Core, only a couple of months ago, he urged the State Leaders
Conference to rename the "toxic" Common Core to something different in each of their states. Which they did. Common Core is an insidious Fed Gov program-MOST highly offensive to Christians in it's promotion of gender neutrality, gay lifestyle and highly inappropriate sexual content even in Elementary school level. The Gov has some explaining to do. Meanwhile, Rick Santorum/Patriot Voices has Petition out OPPOSING. I do not expect you to publish this comment. God bless you - We ALL really need Him.

They won't ditch them, but as usual they will put the social carrot before the evangelical noses pre-election and then do nothing.

I hope these evangelicals wake up since they didn't vote in 2012 and look at the mess we have.
There are always consequences of not voting. Lois Lerner was able to go on targeting the Tea Party and others. I am sure that the mothers of those four men killed in Benghazi would like an answer and so far has not gotten one. Elections have consequences and we are experiencing some painful ones. Osama bin laden is dead and we have had another Fort Hood shooting. Elections matter. Think before you decide not to vote.

Very True, People want a Traditional government, By the people and for the people, A Constitutional nation, One Nation Under God, that means sanctity of life, and living a clean life, one that is not immoral or perverted.

Stop saying we are electing a president, not a minister. We need to elect a minister, or a former minister.

Not so sure about Evangelicals staying home. There are plenty if issues we need to fix. Personally, I would not vote for Huck, but I do like him as a comedian. Maybe a late night talk show on FOX.

I would hope we wouldn't stay home but come up with either 3rd party candidates or write-in somebody who would support traditional American views, not the new left-wing views.

NOT VOTING IS VOTING WITH YOUR OPPOSITION. Go vote, do not allow religion to get in the way of voting in a better candidate. This is the reason our country is in the place it is right now? You got to be kidding me, REALLY.
I'm not impressed. John F Kennedy was a Catholic, and was not held in high regard because if his faith, but look what a good President he was. Maybe God knows best who will fill the office.
