Noah, the movie, is a Hollywood fairy tale . My daughter suggested that we walk out of the movie after ten minutes because she sensed the blasphemous nature of the film. What is reflected here is that most of our 21st century pastors and seminarians do not believe that the first Book of Moses , Genesis, is a historical narrative, but in fact a book of poetry or "high prose", etc. In short they contend that the story of Noah in Genesis is mythology. So it is hard to criticize Hollywood for adhering to the same position and taking it to the extreme that is reflected in the movie. Noah, the movie, has great potential to do excessive harm to the true Body of Christ, because it reinforces this false view of so many of our "Christian" leaders and pastors that the Bible( and particularly the accounts in Genesis, the first Book of Moses) are largely just fiction.

See Jesus's challenge to some of the Jewish religious leaders in John 5:46, 47 re belief in Moses's writings.

Russell Crowe Mocks the Biblical Noah.
Noah, which was released in late March, admittedly took non-biblical liberties with a treasured story. Russell Crowe, the actor cast as Noah, told Entertainment Tonight that he finds it amusing that people consider Noah benevolent.

“This is the dude that stood by and watched the entire population of the planet perish,” Crowe said. “He’s not benevolent. He’s not even nice.”
