Why Chris Christie Isn't Mitt Romney or John McCain

I know…I know….here we go again right? All the talk is about how Chris Christie will be the best GOP nominee because he’s the most electable.

We’ve heard this before. We heard it with John McCain in 2008. We heard it with Mitt Romney in 2012 and now we are hearing it with Governor Christie.

But there’s a crucial difference. No disrespect to McCain or Romney but Christie has pizazz. He has more chutzpah in one finger than McCain and Romney do combined. That’s important.

A lot of Tea Party conservatives are going to focus in on the purity of Gov. Christie’s record. And for sure, that record should be explored. But just remember this: You can make the conservative case for Christie, too. It’s not like he’s Jon Huntsman folks.

Plus, Christie may just be the perfect political figure to run at a time like this because Washington is dysfunctional and Christie doesn’t do dysfunctional. He’s got no patience for it just like the American people.

That match of the hearts could very well be Christie’s biggest asset. Put another way (or as Chris Christie might put it), he doesn’t take any crap. And Americans seem ready for someone with real bravado that’s serious about breaking through the political clutter to come up with real solutions.

Disappointed...You are getting on the Christie bandwagon.
He is: NOT a conservative, uninspiring, not a leader, doesn't measure up to the office of POTUS, etc.
He is NOT what this country needs.

There will be one problem which Chris will face that he will never be able to overcome. He will never be able to pass the sniff test that the Tea Party wishes to demand all must pass. Good luck in the primary races for a man that thinks he will win votes by being nasty and mean spirited to anyone who dares to question him. I am just saying... Chris has a temper that will not be tolerated by the majority of Americans. Good luck but Chris is doomed no matter who he tries to please - the majority do no like a bully trying to crush anyone who disagrees with him. I am just saying. :-)

Republican my foot! he is a yes man for the democrats. Why would anyone sign a bill to deny therapy to anyone? much less someone who has been brainwashed by this amoral society and is confused about their real reason for being here. (God has a purpose for everyone0 and now thanks to christie there are youth that can not be shown the other side of perversion through therapy. Way to go christie, condeming these youth to eternity in hell! Before you say something about it is the parents role, yes it is, but show me a teen that listenes to their parents. We are all stupid to them and by the time they mature enough to listen they may already be hiv or aids positive.

i enjoy your editorials and expect I always will, however, I don't remotely agree with you on Gov. Christie & pizzaz. Really? Governor Christie is the other side of a coin made in similar fashion to Barack Obama. I would never want him as President of these United States of America. Absolutely not. He will cave just as much if not actually more than an Obama (which may seem hard to believe but Obama isn't a cave in type; he's a break it down to destroy it one) and even a Hillary Clinton (yipes.) Don't be fooled! Please. We all need far more sound discernment now.
Thanks for your editorials Mr. Brody.
My very best to you and all the CBN Staff.

I've never liked Christie, and I am a STRONG Republican. Rubio or Carson are better possibilities.

# RE: Why Chris Christie Isn't Mitt Romney or John McCain

Chris Christie is NOT a conservative! He did not even try to oppose Obamacare - instead he quickly began to implement it in New Jersey. He will NOT try to repeal or replace it - he loves it! He is pro-amnesty and he snubbed Ken Cucinelli (sp?) when Ken asked him for help in his campaign for governor in Virginia against a big lib. Christie has NOT cut taxes in New Jersey, he refused to appoint a Republican senator from New Jersey when a vacancy came open and instead called for an immediate special election (costing NJ millions and ensuring another Democrat senator)and refused to hold the special election on the same day as his for fear it would interfere with his "big day" by drawing more Democrats to the polls. And...if you believe what is out in the new book about the 2010 election - the same baggage that prevented Mitt Romney from choosing him as his running mate is the stuff opposition research dreams are made of. He wouldn't stand a chance! His bravado is just a big ego!

Chris Hussein Christie, like Perry, does not have the greatest Governor record. Both states received a lot of stimulus money. Both governors favor Islam and Illegal Immigration. New Jersey is full of Illegal Muslims.

In August, Christie signed a law that would levy criminal penalties against parents and Christian ministers if they counsel youth to change their sexual orientation or gender identity. One couple recently filed suit against Christie, charging the law infringes on their rights as parents.
And while Christie repeatedly proclaimed opposition to same-sex marriage and vetoed a bill to legalize the unions, he surprised many conservatives when the state Supreme Court ruled to legalize gay marriage — and Christie ordered the state's acting attorney general not to appeal the decision.
"It's definitely not a profile in courage," Brian Brown, head of the National Organization for Marriage, told Politico. "You've got a court in New Jersey that doesn't understand that it's supposed to be interpreting the law, not making it up out of thin air."

No, no, a thousand times, NO.

I guess Christie does have "pizzazz", if by that you mean he's a boorish loudmouth. I prefer to look at the person's record.

Christie is anti-2nd Amendment. He drafted three gun bans, and then vetoed them when it occurred to him he would need to drift right if he runs for president. CAIR included him on their "best" list of those who fight "Islamophobia." And Christie, who is a Catholic, said that although his faith declares homosexuality is wrong, he does not believe it is.

And you're pushing this guy? On a Christian site? You can have him. He will never get my vote.

Whoever wrote this article about Christy is either a FAN or has no idea what's happening among The Tea Party Groups. First: Christy is a RINO and has been judged that way for 2 years, maybe 3 now. 2nd: Constitutional Conservatives - Tea Parties will NOT Vote for Christy PERIOD. No MORE RINO's. We DON'T like him and we DON'T Like Rubio anymore either, PERIOD. Do you comprehend?
