Brody File Exclusive: Email To Evangelical Pastors: Time To Put Politicians "Scalps On The Wall"

The Brody File has learned that the American Renewal Project, an influential evangelical group sent an email blast today to more than ten thousand pastors across America urging them to engage in the fight to save this nation. Part of the email says the following: “Unless politicians see scalps on the wall, they will never respect our policies, marches, sermons or prayer rallies.” It goes on to say that, “Registering the Christian constituency to vote, and getting them to vote is the game. Game on.” The email is entitled, “8 THINGS PASTORS NEED TO KNOW IF WE ARE TO SAVE AMERICA.” You can read it in its entirety below.

The American Renewal Project is organized by David Lane, an influential evangelical who stays behind the scenes and works as a, “political operative.” The group is organizing pastor policy briefings and voter registration drives across this country in 12 key states during the 2014 election cycle. They want to restore America to its Judeo-Christian heritage. The next closed event is later this week in Louisiana where pastors will hear from Governor Bobby Jindal.

The American Renewal Project played a key role in rallying Christians to support California’s Proposition 8, which affirmed traditional marriage. They played a significant role in removing Iowa’s three Supreme Court judges who ruled to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act. They have also been very vigorous in presidential politics; with top Republican candidates speaking at their pastor policy briefings in key swing states like Iowa and South Carolina. The Brody File cameras attended one of these closed sessions in July. Watch that report here. Also, watch our exclusive interview with David Lane below.

American Renewal Project Email To Pastors

8 THINGS PASTORS NEED TO KNOW IF WE ARE TO SAVE AMERICA
Dr. Gary Miller, Director - American Renewal Project

1. The game is chess, not checkers.
Unless politicians see scalps on the wall, they will never respect our policies, marches, sermons or prayer rallies. Registering people to vote prepares the constituency to move to the voting booth, and remove politicians who have a tin ear to Christian values and no appreciation for God-given rights. David Lane, founder of the American Renewal Project is catching the attention of those who are afraid that the movement is on the right track, and intend to stop him.

2. Success has a thousand fathers. Failure is an orphan.
Success and failure are a team effort, but no one every claims credit for a failure. The church has blamed their failure to change the culture, on the culture's unwillingness to be changed. The blame game has to end, and the change game must begin. Registering the Christian constituency to vote, and getting them to vote is the game. Game on.

3. There is no education in the second kick of a mule.
David Lane's relationship with his mentor, Dr. Bruce K. Waltke, has given him a deep love for Proverbs, and a clear choice to either be a wise man or a fool.

4. It's not my deal.
Mr. Lane holds onto ministry, with a loose grip. He understands that he operates solely under the favor of God, and whenever he begins to tighten his grip as an owner of it, he ceases to be the steward of it.

5. I deserved judgment. God gave me mercy.
This is the heart of the issue for Mr. Lane. He prayed for mercy, and God gave it to him. He longs for his nation to fall under God's mercy, not his judgment. Hear his heart. God did.

6. Our mission is spiritual, only the by-product is political.
Don't miss this. David Lane believes there must be a Spiritual climate change in America to restore our Judeo-Christian heritage. This can only be brought about, by a Great Spiritual Awakening. The solutions that are needed are not going to come from Washington, D.C., but Christian citizenship is a by-product of praying Christian, who exercise God's perspective and a Christian world-view, when entering a church or a voting booth.

7. Politicians are actors, performing a script, written by the audience.
Politicians are stage actors performing a script, written by the audience. They will not change the way they act, or leave the stage, without receiving written instructions from the audience. Script changes are best given to politician, in the form of ballots, completed and delivered, in a voting booth. Fill yours out, and deliver a fresh script to the politician of your choice, every time you have a chance. Register to vote. Vote if registered. Script changes are needed to get this show on the road, and to tell politicians, posing as patriots, to hit the road.

8. There is nothing good or bad about the Democrat Party, or the Republican Party.
They're merely empty holding vessels, you pour things into: like-minded constituents. Some call for a 3rd Party, we don't call for that at all, our position is that a 3rd Party just splits us up and dilutes our force. It seems that those who cannot organize - but like Press Conferences, Press Releases and a shout-out on the Evening News prefer the 3rd Party approach. The problem is us - Christians in America - Russell Kirk said, "Politicians are actors performing a script that is written by the audience." The audience controls the stage, Christians don't get it yet.

This takes money and cooperation! If we keep living to escape the culture by the rapture and a poverty mentality this won't happen. If we keep being selfish this won't happen. Money is a tool to spread the gospel and it can't be spread if we stay in the church walls. People in Africa have more respect for their clergy than we here in America, could that be since many of them don't have TV? Change the TV and Internet and you will change the culture along with the politics.

Political activism never won a single soul to Jesus Christ. Jesus nor the apostles never engaged in it. They reached souls one at the time with the Gospel, salvation by grace , through faith in Jesus Christ.Pointing men and women to the Savior is what changes hearts and communities. This what our pastors need to be reminded of. When the pastors begin to preach the true Gospel our society will change. Until then, all other efforts are futile. http://bit.ly/12dL3fx
