Get Ready: GOP Presidential Hopefuls To Headline Big DC Christian Event

For those trying to write the political obituary of conservative evangelicals, they might want to take note of what’s happening at the JW Marriott hotel later this week in Washington DC. The “Teavangelicals” are back. Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition holds its, “Road To Majority Conference” starting Thursday and it is turning into a must-see political event considering that many potential Republican candidates for president will be on hand. Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Paul Ryan and Rick Santorum are coming in for the big affair and it will give conservative Christians their first real chance to size up the possible presidential candidates. It will also give these Republicans a chance to see how they might fare among the key voting constituency in the GOP Primaries. Other speakers include Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump and many more.

The conference isn’t just a cattle call of speeches by top conservatives. The real goal is here to make sure the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s 700,000 plus members are engaged early in the political process. There will be training and education sessions so that they can reach the goal of registering one million new voters by Election Day in 2014, 100 million new voter contacts and distributing 40 million voter guides.

There is a lobbying aspect to the group’s efforts as well. Immediately following the kick-off luncheon on Thursday, more than five hundred FFC members will hit Capitol Hill for what is being called, “Lobby Day.” They will meet with their Senators and Congressmen to lobby on marriage, immigration and IRS reform. On marriage, the thrust of the conversations will center on pushing lawmakers to start figuring out a replacement for the Defense of Marriage Act, assuming the Supreme Court rules it unconstitutional. Immigration talks will focus on making sure any immigration reform bill is fully anti-amnesty and full of real border security requirements. As for the IRS, FFC members will be lobbying for passage of two bills: The first one has a clever name: It’s called, "Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013" and is sponsored by Tom Price in the House and John Cornyn in the Senate. It seeks to stop the Internal Revenue Service from putting into place or implementing any requirements of ObamaCare. The second bill is the IRS Anti-Abuse Act, sponsored by Paul Gosar. This legislation would make it a crime to discriminate against organizations and individuals based on their political affiliation or ideology.

There’s no doubt that the IRS scandal has given Teavangelical activists a shot in the arm as they try and recover from November of last year when President Obama won a second term. A malaise of disillusionment settled in after Obama began his second term but the IRS scandal targeting Teavangelical type groups, combined with a hopeful looking 2014 congressional electoral map has given conservative Christians some optimism that better days are ahead. Those days start Thursday in DC as the crucial base of the party gets its first side-by-side look at the Republican presidential hopefuls who they hope will lead them back to the Promised Land.

Dear CBN, GOP and RINO's everywhere,

NO! We do not want another RINO loser Bush, McCain, Romney, Paul or other wishy-washy, some-timey, this or that whatever it takes to get elected candidate.

If the candidate comes from Florida, NO. Texas? NO! Scott Walker might be interesting.

If the candidate is related to someone who has already defiled America by holding elected office, NO!

As long as this is a true pro-Christ event, one where anti-Christ elements are sidelined as the enemies of the Gospel that they are, this will be a fruitful meeting that bears fruit for the Kingdom of God. I pray that this is not a gathering of people who support the synagogue of Satan while denying Christ in the process by raising up those who would hang Him on a cross again today if He started preaching in Jerusalem as He did near two thousand years ago.

# Get Ready: GOP Presidential Hopefuls ... For A Litmus Test

Riddle & Moderate this:

Kyke's, Wop's, a Spic, a Shine, a couple of Nomadic Apostates. Throw in a Monarchist Sympathizer and what have you got?

The US Supreme Court.

I for one, am longing for a 'real' WASP, specifically, one in a Robe. Yep, the white, 'once saved-always saved', male. Anyone remember him? How about a first? The first of the 21st century. They're not extinct you know. Actually, still quite numerous.

I am seriously considering a litmus test pledge, from the next individual asking for my Presidential vote. A pledge, to nominate someone like me. I'm still in the majority out here, about 55% (Though all 55 may not have eternal security, yet!), with assortments of the aforementioned rounding out the field.

I'd like some representation -- in a Robe. Thank You!

For the love of God, please do not fall prey to the Bushes yet again. There is an old saying: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me; fool me three times, that's it, you're done! Out of the pool!"

The Bushes are no friends of Christ. I realize that sounds harsh, but the record of this family is clear. I would welcome a Ted Cruz or a Rand Paul any day of the week, but just say NO to Jeb Bush.

Note to RNC. As a conservative, I and many of my friends are tired of holding our oases as we vote. Too many time you donkeys hint some deserves the candidacy. As I've always said its more about you than the people. Bush doesn't have a chance nor does Santorum. Rubio is a RINO in a donkeys costume. McCain was and is a boob and you could have done better than the 3rd debate no show Romney. Ou think there was a low turn out last time, keep bringing in wannabes and 2016 will be handed to Clinton in a landslide

I urge christian not to vote for any members of the Bush family. I also urge Christians to throw away their TVs and do some real research on whats going on in our country right now. There is only one major political voice in Washington DC whos doing right, and that man is Ron Paul, but he currently retired. I pray that you all see through delusions of politics and become of aware the wolves in sheep's clothing. Remember you cannot vote Jesus into office, nor will you ever be able to. So stand for the constitution, and vote intelligently. I want you all to think for a second, voting all these years for people who would better are nation, but instead has turned it into a pile of corruption, worse and worse every 4 years, and a constant accumulation of debt, I pray that the scales fall off your eyes. Dont fall for these people who say their Christians, seriously. Let integrity speak. Ron Paul, Veteran that volenteered, A real Doctor, and a steadfast career for the constitution.

Well, here goes Ralph again. Some years ago, when he was head of the Christian Coalition, he was very effective politically, and got rich. Then a scandal developed and everything fell apart.

Ralph is now back at it again, with apparently the same modus operandi. Under the slogan of "Christian brotherhood" Ralph has mobilized the religious community to support amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants and more legal immigration.

He's done that for the benefit of his other clients--big businesses who want amore immigrants and cheaper labor, including the Tech billionaires, and maybe the Chamber of Commerce. Of course in addition to paying Ralph's lobbying firm, they may also kick in contributions to some religious institutions too.

The Christian community is allowing itself to be bought, while our country is being sold down a river of immigration.

Well, well. Now we see the absolute idiocy of the Conservative side in the words of David Brody... where the F is the name of Sarah Palin in this article? Brody lists a number of male names as pretenders for 2016, yet the most powerful person and the featured speaker at this event... Sarah Palin... is not even mentioned.
WTF is this crap?
Typical so-called self named conservative with his head up his butt.
How many of these dolts mentioned can compare to Sarah Palin for popularity, capability, leadership, INTEGRITY, honesty, actually doing what she says and after 5 years of liberal scrutiny, clean.

Yes, Sarah Palin is the wrap up featured speaker on Saturday. And yes, when you look at how corrupt and pussified the Republican side is..... she is the most qualified, never corrupted or tainted politician in the entire Republican (sad to say) universe of potential candidates for 2016 yet the people who hold themselves in a position of influence in the party continue to ignore that fact.

My original comment was banned, I guess because I gave my opinion of Ralph Reed, amnesty promoter and Bush family adviser.

However, I am encouraged by the outpouring of posts here in opposition to another Bush President. The first was so bad Clinton 1 beat him, and the second Bush was such a RINO, he gave us Barack Obama.

No Bush, no Rubio in 2016.

Maybe this one will be published.

I'd like to take this opportunity to remind my fellow Christians that Romney lost because Evangelicals didn't show up in significant numbers to vote for him. That being said, irrespective of whether we are again stuck with a 'RINO' or not, please remember that not voting at all is tantamount to voting for the Democrats. The GOP may be weak, but handing more power to left wing radicals in order to make some kind of 'statement' to the RINO community, is insanity. Be smart my friends; let not emotion rule over reason.

There is no way Jeb Bush should ever be ensconced in the White House for two Bushes have been two two many. Jeb Bush and his family are Progressives and are committed to a one world government (GHWB signed the UN Agenda 21 Treaty in 1992, which is being used to mold America to where we will espouse a UN one world government)and GWB/BHO have both put the country on the road to financial bankruptcy and a crashing American dollar, which are both prerequisites to eliminate American sovereignty.

Jeb, who is from Florida where I reside, is for open borders, amnesty for illegal aliens and Common Core (JB's Foundation is a big financier of CC), the latest Agenda 21 educational scheme to dumb down most of America's youth so they will readily accept Big Government and be good soldiers when Big Government wants something done.

Therefore, people JB should be early in the candidacy game over the next year be quickly shown the door out.

@Miss Tibowitz, evangelicals didn't show up to vote for Romney because he's not an evangelical, he's a heretic, and voting for nothing is better than voting for a heretic.

# RE: Get Ready: GOP Presidential Hopefuls To Headline Big DC Christian Event

@George Babbitt. ''Heretic'', sir? Is this the 16th century?

As I said, 'voting for ''nothing'' is indeed voting for something. In this case, a non-vote for Romney amounted to a vote for Obama. And what, prey tell, is Obama's religion? Why do so many Evangelicals despise Mormonism, yet seem to have little objection to Obama's church of Black Liberation Theology? (If you're unfamiliar with it, please do some research). Obama's faith isn't remotely Christian, though it purports to be so. It's doctrine is revolutionary Marxism and social revenge, much like, if not identical to, the cult of Jim Jones. The church of Obama's Rev. Wright is a festering hive of hate, and even denies that Christ was a Jewish man. How does that compare with Mormonism in terms of being ''heretical''? That Evangelicals put their noses in the air against a decent man because he is Mormon, they effectively gave this country another four years of the most corrupt, anti-Christian administration in our history.

@Miss Tibowitz, something that is obviously wrong to most is better than something that is deceptively right to some. I would rather deal with someone I know to be adversarial and against my principles then to deal with someone that purports to be my brother while slowly corrupting me with their company into something my father would never recognize.
