President Obama and Guns

President Obama is letting it all hang out. Kids at his gun control announcement? Check. Fighting with the GOP on gun control? Check. Throwing bi-partisanship out the door? Check. Trying to chip away at the Second Amendment? Check. Potential power grab with 23 Executive Orders on the gun control issue? Check.

Need I say more? Here's part of the article on President Obama's announcement about guns.

Rolling out a wide-ranging plan for executive and legislative action to curb gun violence, Obama set up a fierce clash with the powerful U.S. gun lobby and its supporters in Congress, who are expected to resist what they see as an encroachment on constitutionally protected gun rights.

Obama presented his agenda at a White House event in front of an audience that included children from around the country, a poignant reminder of the 20 first-graders who were killed along with six adults by a lone gunman on December 14 at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

"While reducing gun violence is a complicated challenge, protecting our children from harm shouldn't be a divisive one," Obama said.

Until now, Obama had done little to rein in America's weapons culture during his first four years in office. But just days before his second inauguration, he appears determined to champion gun control in his next term with a concerted drive for tighter laws and other steps aimed at preventing further tragedies like the one at Newtown.

When will we see President Obama surrounded by celebrities talking about the culture of violence portrayed by Hollywood? Did I miss that photo-op?

What does a Christian need an Assault Riffle for to begin with? When did Assault Riffle become the sword of the Spirit?
Is cynical and almost hypocritical to say the least, when I see Christians champion a culture that presupposes violent solution.
What will a sane law abiding citizen be requiring an assault semi automatic for Bro.Brody.
What's the difference between a typical Taliban in Northern Pakistan and an armed Christian man in rural Kansas or Kentucky?...
I have made up my mind to trust in the lord, not on man made protection which will fail.

I believe Obama has been waiting for his opportunity and the Connecticut tragedy is just that. He is using fierce emotional manipulation to accomplish his long-held agenda. The problem remains that it is the law abiding citizens who will be affected by changes in gun laws. The criminals never follow the rules and a new law will not change that. When will real, average, hard-working Americans have a voice in this government that is supposed to be of us, by us and for us????

The President is a "user" thus he will never
get involved in calling out Hollywood on any
of their violent movies or how many weapons
they use when making any movies. He knows how
quick those people change their mind about things and take the money with them!!!!!!
But it's OK for them to have "armed" protection
because they are "elitists" and they don't
think common people like you and me know whats
best for us; just like the Pesident!
It all about CONTROL just like the Healthcare
law! He wants to decide who can have what and
when!
I still can't understand why GOD allowed him to
be re-elected! Any thoughts?

Yes, the Hollywood elite jumping on the bandwagon as they go on making millions on violent movies and videos. Can anyone see the two facedness of this campaign?
