Allen West on Obama: His Principles Aren't Very Biblical

The Brody File interviewed Allen West recently down in West Palm Beach, Fla. He's in a tough and nasty race against Democrat Challenger Patrick Murphy.

Watch the excerpt below from this pasty week's Brody File show that airs on the ABC Family Channel.

David Brody: There is a lot of vitriol aimed at you. Why do they (The Democrat Party) want to take you down, exactly?

Allen West: Because they've never had a strong Constitutional conservative that stood up to them, that went toe to toe with them, did not play by the rules that they try to put out there. Because there's a duplicitous hypocrisy and I call them out on that. And every thing that I speak about is fact, and is rooted in our Constitution, any of the documents that established this great nation, like the Federalist papers, the Declaration, and that really drives them crazy.

Brody: What about Mohammed Morsi over in Egypt? Can he be trusted?

West: It's very simple. Read the Muslim Brotherhood's chart and that will tell you who they are and what they stand for. Go back and read the explanatory memorandum that was written in 1991 by the Muslim Brotherhood and understand their plan here for us in the United States of America and across North America. Morsi is not an ally of ours.

Brody: Let me ask you, you're a straight-up guy, let me ask you a straight-up question. There are many conservative evangelicals who believe that while president Obama calls himself a Christian, that his policies do not compute with the bible. Everything from marriage to abortion, to fiscal responsibility for that matter. Do you believe that some of this, or some of this, does not comport with the bible?

West: I think the president is talking a good game but his policies don't follow it up. This whole thing about war on women and contraception, the real issue there is what is happening to the free exercise of religion thereof, and what is coming out of an Obama administration that is trying to reclassify what a religious organization and institution is. That is not what the president should be doing.

# RE: Allen West on Obama: His Principles Aren't Very Biblical

Allen West's sense of fiscal responsibility is Ayn Rand Biblical capitalism. West believes that unregulated capitalism is dictated by biblical law. Early this year, in a sit-down with The Atlas Society, West stated, “I think that ‘Atlas Shrugged’ is the most widely read book second only to the Bible, which is a good thing.” In her novel Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand wrote: "My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."

In 1982 Gary North, Biblical Capitalist said, "So let us be blunt about it: we must use the doctrine of religious liberty to gain independence for Christian schools until we train up a generation...Then they will get busy in constructing a Bible-based social, political and religious order which finally denies the religious liberty of the enemies of God (everybody else).
