It's always surprising to hear a GOP official tell the actual truth.

Exactly right! Most career politicians don't get the "Tea Party" mentality that resides in many conservatives. But Newt seems to "get it." He is tapping into that rich vein of frustration, anger and disillusionment with Washington - no matter the party. Like it or not, this nation is reaching an emotional boiling point and we do not seem to be measuring our candidates by the issues as much as we are measuring them for the "fire in their bellies." When feelings run as deep as they are in this country right now, leadership becomes the issue - not just leadership with ability that aligns with our politics, but leadership that rallies us and calls to our sensibilities. Newt is doing that with his attacks on the media and by denouncing political correctness as he did with Juan Williams.

We may not believe this; however the huge scandals are made by the politicians and the rich, not the poor who can hardly live with a meal a day.
