Exclusive: Ron Paul's Agenda to Include Eliminating Five Government Departments and He Will Take $39,336 Presidential Salary

Ron Paul’s detailed agenda for America will be disclosed next week and a senior official with his campaign tells The Brody File that it includes eliminating five governmental departments, cutting $1 trillion in spending, and Dr. Paul would take a presidential salary of just $39, 336, which is the median salary of the American worker (The President’s base salary is normally $400,000).

The five departments that would be abolished are the Departments of Education, Energy, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce and Interior. However, while the departments would be eliminated, the plan would be to roll certain functions into other departments. For example, the Department of Education would be done away with but Pell grant programs would be phased in somewhere else.

There’s a lot more details to come but those will be unveiled Monday in Las Vegas.

The mainstream media wants to continue to discount Ron Paul even though his poll numbers are healthy, his fundraising is strong, and his message is resonating. Now, in this 2012 campaign, he has developed a new wrinkle as he tries to make a concerted pitch to pro-life social conservatives by talking up the value of human life.

Ron Paul is not called Dr. Paul for nothing. He’s an obstetrician.

Coming off his big straw poll victory at the Values Voter Summit, he’s now out with an extremely compelling pro-life ad.

Watch below.

While Ron Paul may not win the nomination, his constitutional conservative beliefs have already won him something far more valuable and long lasting: changing the discourse in American politics.

My guess is the godfather of the Tea Party would rather have that be his legacy than becoming president of the United States. The media scoffed at him in 2008 but who’s having the last laugh?

The Brody File will be interviewing Ron Paul next week in Las Vegas.

# Ron Paul

I love it! This man is a statesman for the people! AND, he's pro-life, anti-war! God bless Doctor Ron Paul, and God bless you too, Mr. Brody.

While many of the republicans may not win the nomination, as we have seen the last time when the media chose Guilliani as the national front runner, Ron Paul has and will continue winning. The GOP barred the Ron Paul delegates from voting, and radically altered the rules last time around. Plus, Ron Paul wasn't on all the ballots as he will be this time. No, this time we are ready. We have infiltrated the GOP, and there's no stopping us. May truth and freedom ring clear! And my our blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ shine His Holy Spirit upon our last great statesman, Congressman, and Presidential Candidate, Dr. Ron Paul.

We are so tired of hearing "he may not win"
or "he won't win"
or "he can't win".
JUST STOP
And treat him as an equal in the race.

Its sickening that everytime we mention romney we say "front-runner" and when we mention paul, if ever, we have to downlplay his chances.

Very upsetting.

I am not even suprised that he says he will take the pay rate of an Average American worker, that just totally seems like something he would do.

I can hardly wait for the full details!

This humble servant has a history of uncommon wisdom, understanding, integrity, and the strength to stand by his convictions in the face of ridicule by many (who have later been proven wrong).

I believe he will make the best President our nation has seen in a LONG time, provided we all work to ensure that everyone we know learns about him and supports him in the face of large corporate media's attempts to minimize his exposure often prefacing any discussion of him with comments like, "he's unelectable". I, for one, am not going to let THEM tell me who is electable and who is not, and I cannot in good conscience vote for anyone else when I don't believe they would serve our nation's best interest.

Ex:31:3: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship

Right now I believe the best group for the White House would possibly be Herman Cain in the Oval Office with Ron Paul as our VP and Newt Gingrich as our Secretary of State.

Fellow Christians and Patriots, it is my sincere hope that you take a deep look into this statesman's integrity towards God and Country. You won't find another candidate quite like him who is a truth teller, not a story-teller. He has proven again and again to protect the People's hard earned money through constitutionally fiscal responsibility and for that he is known as Dr. No. He cannot be bought, which is rare in DC. His proposed payroll is not a gimmick as he has turned his hand away from Govt. junkets and Govt. pension while in congress. If it is protecting this country he will, he has proven it time and again. This is bold policy that will be before you soon. If you do not want anymore of the status quo, this is your chance, perhaps the last for a long time to come. He is a rarity in DC, a treasure for our country and towards our cause for Liberty.

# RE: Exclusive: Ron Paul's Agenda To Include Eliminating Five Government Departments And He Will Take $39,336 Presidential Salary

At first blush, Mr. Brody did a great service by writing this news article about Ron Paul.
It became tainted, however, when I read Brody's opinionated comments which belittled the ongoing and tireless volunteer efforts of Constitutional Conservative ProLife Spirit-Filled TeaParty Patriots by marginalizing America's true visionary leader and the gift of Dr. Paul's life work, patiently and faithfully brought to the table of political discussion year after year.
Check yourself, Mr. Brody, for using the hammer of opinionated "political prophecy" to drive the nail of apathetic defeat into the hearts of the hopeful cloaked in the cape of “moderation;” our Constitutional Freedoms are being viciously gutted in the back rooms and alleys of federal, state, and local governments at this very moment. America needs this healer, not the butchers of self-interest, if she is to survive.
Like a race well-run, political victory will establish Dr. Paul’s legacy, not opinionated journalists.

As a Ron Paul Supporter, Mr. Brody, your write up about Ron is greatly appreciated. However, it is very discouraging when the media, journalist, etc. always tell us who is not going to win every time there is an election. In other words, we are being told who to vote for. Why should we even bother to vote? Is that why so many registered voters do not bother to vote anymore? How about all of the Americans who are not even registered to vote. I think it would be very refreshing if journalists, talking heads, politicians, reporters, etc. would sign a contract "I will not predict who is going to win or who will not win this election. I will leave it up to the Americans to decide the winner of the Presidential Race on Election Day. In addition, stop predicting the winner back East before the polls have even closed on the West Coast.

as a guy from Holland, i totally agree with Dr. Ron Paul's ideas. when he is elected we must not forget that the whole world is going to be affected by his rule (i think in a positive way), that's why people from all over the world should consider to support him (or not)

PS,
it's insane to see a media (government)as corrupt as they are in your America, by just ignoring or down rating him.

best of luck to all the supporters off R. Paul.

Am I the only one concerned with the draconian cuts he is proposing?

So he brings troops home, cuts 5 whole departments but what about jobs? The unemployment is so high now and after his proposals it will higher. So what does he propose for the unemployed?

Thank you Mr. Brody for this article. I for one do not have a problem with the following from you:
"While Ron Paul may not win the nomination, his constitutional conservative beliefs have already won him something far more valuable and long lasting: changing the discourse in American politics."

You wrote nothing but what is obviously true. The first part - the part that has some other Ron Paul supporters a bit put off - is something one could say about any of the other candidates. It is merely a statement of fact.... but in that sense, it is a statement of fact that may be better left unsaid. The reason this is so is that there is no earthly reason to say it. Everyone knows this already. But I understand you are building up to your main point. Specifically, that Dr. Paul has changed the course of our political discussion. That is indeed far more lasting than a mere presidential campaign.

God bless and keep the faith!
In Christ,

# RE: Exclusive: Ron Paul's Agenda To Include Eliminating Five Government Departments And He Will Take $39,336 Presidential Salary

With all due respect to David Brody, the person who wrote this article, at least two of your statements are not very well thought out:

1.) Ron Paul is very likely to be nominated. You are not, "We the people", so we will decided who we want as President, not you.

2.) Ron Paul is running for President in order to become President. He would not spend voter donations to run a campaign he was not interested in winning. So you statement is not very bright.

It seems that you are voting for someone else. Well, that's fine. You should say that and not make statements that are not based upon facts, that clearly show that YOU are the mainstream media who is discounting him.

Why not eliminate the Department of Health and Human Services, one of the most bloated and unnecessary bureaucracies. And next, the Department of Defense must go. Once we stop fighting other people's war there won;t be any need for the department either.

Mr. Brody,

If I am ever in need of a stab in the back for doing a great job educating the American people where the evil exist in our government it looks I could count on you.

You remind of those ancient assassins who would befriend travelers in caravans and then slit their throats while sleeping.

We are truly living in a time where Christens will stand up for what is wrong and call good evil. Thank you for opening my eyes to your charactor and intent.

Come on people. The phrase "may not win" is not equal to "will not win". Any one of the other candidates "may not win" either. PAY ATTENTION TO THE WORDS AND WHAT IS *ACTUALLY* STATED. Paul may not win. Romney may not win. Cain may not win. Etc. (Someone else mentioned this but made it FAR more complicated.)

In the same light, stop assuming that President Paul won't target other wasteful departments just because he didn't mention them. He only mentioned 5 of his top targets to give us something to chew on. But don't think for a moment that he will limit himself to just those 5.

Before flying off the handle and making uninformed statements, read the article several times to be sure you understand it correctly. Don't make assumptions. Don't jump to foolish conclusions. The Bereans searched the Scriptures daily to verify all that they heard or read. In other words, they verified everything.

Ron Paul for president??? Are you people crazy??? Are you all on a self destruct mode of our great country??? Please.. A good christian who really cares about people would not try to destroy what our country was founded on.. What be voiced is the truth on right wing agenda and they want to put this great country into a 3rd world country!!! If you take real look at what has stale mated in congress today & in the past..
