Rep. Michele Bachmann tells The Brody File that she’s a “Teavangelical” and says that if “we trust in God, we can see miracles in our country.”
I spoke with Bachmann backstage at Thursday’s Faith and Freedom Coalition event in Orlando, Fla. In her speech, she referred to a “Gideon’s army that is coming together.”
I asked her what she meant by that. (Bible story here)
David Brody:You’re a Tea Party member. You’re an evangelical. I like to call them 'Teavangelicals.”'Are you a teavangelical? And tell me about Gideon’s army out there.
Michele Bachmann: Well, I absolutely am, because I believe that we are taxed enough already. Government shouldn’t spend more money than what it takes in. We should follow the Constitution, and I’m a believer in Jesus Christ, so I think that makes me a Teavangelical.
What I talked about out here is Gideon’s army, meaning, literally, it takes very few people to change the world and we have a committed group of people here today in Florida and they are enough.
We need to consider that it doesn’t take that many. If we put our influence on the line and we trust in God, we can see miracles in our country.
