In a one-on-one exclusive sit-down interview with The Brody File, GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann says Sarah Palin and her are friends and “we’ve never had a cross word between us.”
The Brody File interviewed Bachmann in Waterloo, Iowa, Sunday evening before her big campaign announcement in her hometown. The media has played up a potentially rivalry between the two of them ever since Bachmann’s campaign manager Ed Rollins took a few swipes at Palin.
Watch her answer below along with the full transcription:
David Brody: Set the record straight with us on your relationship with Sarah Palin because the media wants to pit you, if not pit you against Sarah Palin, they certainly want to compare you two.
And I’m wondering how you see it specifically as it relates to Governor Palin.
Michele Bachmann: I like her a lot. We’re friends. I have great admiration for her, great respect for her, and we’ve never had a cross word between us.
We are friends. And I think that you’re right, I think that’s a fiction from the media. I doubt that the Governor feels that way, it certainly doesn’t reflect my view, and I only wish her well in what she’s doing right now.
