"The 700 Club" story on Rick and Karen Santorum:

Santorum’s Vision for America:

Rick Santorum: We put that language (referring to the line “endowed by our Creator” in the Declaration of Independence) in but they didn’t put language in there to do what? Well, I think it’s pretty clear what our founders believed from the language that they used. We’re endowed by our Creator to serve our Creator.

America was the belief in every person being given rights by God, using those rights to serve Him and to serve our country, to serve their fellow man because in fact we are our brother’s keeper that that system from the bottom up would produce greatness.

Watch Santorum explain how America is a "moral enterprise"

On running for President

Santorum: People say well why are you running. The only reason that I would run is because you feel like that’s what you’re being called to do.

On throwing a good punch in the upcoming GOP primaries

Santorum: I’m out there punching and getting punched and that’s sort of part of the process but Karen just sees the punches at me and that’s the hard part.

David Brody: You’re not going to step back. You can throw a good punch if you have to.

Santorum: I don’t think anybody questions that. Hopefully, I’ll work very hard to keep it on the issues that we’re dealing with, but as you can tell, I’m very passionate about these things because I think this is one of those turning points in American history and it’s time for passion.
