UPDATE: Rick Santorum Responds to Brody File on Comment About President Obama's Race and Abortion

EXCLUSIVE UPDATE: RICK SANTORUM HAS JUST SENT THE BRODY FILE A STATEMENT ON THE STORY BELOW:

Rick Santorum: “For decades certain human beings were wrongly treated as property and denied liberty in America because they were not considered persons under the constitution.  Today other human beings, the unborn of all races, are also wrongly treated as property and denied the right to life for the same reason; because they are not considered persons under the constitution. I am disappointed that President Obama, who rightfully fights for civil rights, refuses to recognize the civil rights of the unborn in this country."

Abortion is a toxic subject. Race is a toxic subject. And soon to be GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum just took the plunge into both of those areas. Watch the video below as he talks about Barack Obama and abortion during an interview with CNS News. The transcription follows:

More here.

Rick Santorum: "The question is, and this is what Barack Obama didn't want to answer -- is that human life a person under the constitution?" and Barack Obama says no. Well if that human life is not a person, then I find it almost remarkable for a black man to say 'now we are going to decide who are people and who are not people.”

Love him or hate him, let’s be clear about Rick Santorum. He doesn’t hold back. He doesn’t mince words and conservative Christians and Catholics find this quality to be his best attribute. If and when he dives into the 2012 GOP mosh pit, he’s going to be the guy that won’t hold back and in the process he’ll put some of these other 2012 contenders on the spot by bringing up issues that everybody whispers about but rarely talks about in public.

Abortion is not a question of opinion but a question of science and history. Both the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence guarantee a God-given right to life. Science has answered the question of life by verifying that a person is genetically complete at conception. Within the first two months the heart is pumping, brain activity can be measured, and every major organ is either functioning or well along in the process of developing towards full functionality.Life, very simply begins--At the beginning. Abortion is the taking of this innocent life. Go Rick!!!!

Obviously FOX News believes someone who can't hold on to his own senate seat is a voice to be heard on a National Stage!

Whether someone can hold a senate seat or not has nothing to do with having an opinion. Many a good statesman has spoken and has not been elected because there is not enough respect for them, and the voters would rather have dishonest politicians onboard then accountability.

This man has the same straightforward honesty as Sarah Palin...I trust gender won't determine one's validity over another.

Because the worldly live under the authority of the 'deceiver' does not mean believers should not shed the light of truth on injustice and call actions and words what they are.

We are called to be salt and light not approved unto men/women who know not God/truth!

Confrontation is necessary and Godly for change.
