President Sarah Palin?

Who is President of the United States? It's Barack Obama right? But was it just me or did Sarah Palin look like she was President when she gave her address to the American people about the tragedy in Tucson?

Watch the video below. This is pretty amazing to me. The whole backdrop and speech looks downright presidential. Just one thing: can we chill out with all the tweets and Facebook posts coming from Wasilla?

I mean I get the fact that Palin is looking to talk to the grassroots and circumvent the mainstream media through social media networks. That’s wonderful. Go ahead and tweet about how many fish you caught that day or post pictures on Facebook about your recent book tour but when it comes to public policy how about a lecture series tour around the country?

How about a few “White Papers?” How about a few panel discussions at a cross section of respected Universities across the country?

Sarah Palin is a serious player within the GOP but her problem within the GOP ranks is that she needs to be seen as more serious.

# RE: President Sarah Palin?

By invoking "Blood Libel," Sarah Palin has shown herself to be even more deranged and insensitive than any of her critics could have portrayed her. The term invokes the persecution and maligning of Jews throughout history. Is Sarah unaware that, while she is ascending to Tea party martyrdom, a Jewish Congresswoman, whom Sarah placed crosshairs upon, lies in an Arizona hospital grievously wounded? And you believe this was presidential? Today has been set aside to honor the victims of the Tucson massacre. And Sarah Palin has apparently decided she's one of them and your response is to honor her...please show some Christian dignity and mildness...retract your misguided comments...as she should

I think it goes without that the Presidential looking ex governor just effectively nullified any serious political aspirations she might have projected upon her by the right wing conservstive media.God bless you Sarah, good luck with that reality show.

What was so "presidential" about this? That she wore a suit and had a flag in the backdrop? I thought her words were needlessly combative at a time when being presidential calls for rising above the fray.

I have never heard of 'Blood Libel' before, but find it easy to grasp the point she is making.

# RE: President Sarah Palin?

Sarah Palin is a christian,an outspoken politician,a good and loving mother,a faithful wife. I do not understand why she is so hated. She speaks out,is not P.C. or cowering in fear of offending the elite liberal. She is not any more guilty of strong rhetoric than Obama who would encourage his followers to bring a weapon to fight conservatives at the back of the bus, knives, guns, etc. Why is her speak more threatening? Blood Libel is quite appropriate in the way liberals frame christians and conservatives who are ouspoken as some kind of evil nut group. I am tired of it and know it is because they basically hate The Lord Jesus Christ and seek to demean and weaken the christians voice of those who follow Him.

# RE: President Sarah Palin?

I do agree with SpeakSensical that Sarah cannot be president because she is too outspoken and the mainstream media as a mouthpiece of the liberal agenda has put her in its crosshairs to slander and destroy her and they will not give up until they have accomplished that mission. She may say it,but they actually do it. So who is more at fault?

# RE: President Sarah Palin?

I like the fact that Sarah Palin speaks her mind, without fear of retribution. Perhaps her use of the term "blood libel" is offensive to some, but I find her to be similar to a nice warm cup of cocoa in front of a fireplace. I'm tired of the same old politicians who speak out of both sides of their mouths. This is 2011, and we are in a computer generation. I say, let her speak her mind. At least she's honest.

# RE: President Sarah Palin?

This statement was profoundly more presidential than anything from President Obama! However, to malign her timing and purpose is hypocritical and vitriolic. The media's slander fits themselves.
God's Word says to be ready to give an answer, reason in & out of season. Throughout scripture God highly honours/demands justice/righteousness
and Truth...that is what Sarah Palin was providing.
Using this occasion to slander and malign Sarah Palin in a political smear campaign dishonoured all the victims/situations.
I had never in 69 years and much reading of history heard the term "blood libel" but no one who reads/listens to Sarah Palin could ever accuse her of inciting discontent/hatred towards
the Jewish people...the very opposite!
Why were other politicians, including Democrats not equally cited for similar postings and a Muslim leader treated equally when their jihadist gunned down USA military on our soil? Unfortunately, too many today only listen to media incitement not reason.
