Have you seen the new GOP report on Wasteful spending in the stimulus??? Senators John McCain and Tom Coburn have come up with a list of 100 projects inside the stimulus bill that is wasteful (in their view.) Stop the presses! How could that be? The government never wastes taxpayer money!
One of the wasteful examples they give is that money is going to a study of monkeys on cocaine. So let me get this straight. A monkey on cocaine is helping to stimulate the economy? It’s stimulating something all right but I’m not convinced it’s the economy.
