For House Democrats, this month of August will not only be hot outside in their districts but it will also be extremely hot inside those town halls. Speaker Pelosi said recently that this August will prove kinder to Democrats than those town halls a year ago because they are returning with a "portfolio of accomplishments".
Look here's the deal. Earth to Speaker Pelosi. Come in Nancy are you there? That portfolio of accomplishments is exactly why those town halls this month could end up resembling a scene from a frat party at animal house. And at this party the people aren't drunk. They're just downright angry.
For Pelosi and the democrats, the party may be over the first Tuesday in November.
