Bart Stupak says he's retiring and that it's time to move on. Oh, and this whole healthcare abortion controversy didn't really have an effect on his decision.

With a looming and bruising battle ahead, Stupak sees the danger ahead. He sees the vitriol heading his way. It's hard to believe that the healthcare abortion controversy had virtually nothing to do with this decision. More on Stupak's decision here.
The good news for pro-life groups is that at least they now don't have to spend any of their money on fighting against his re-election and they might actually now get a pro-life Republican out of the deal.
