President Obama Heckled by Pro-Lifer

During President Obama's visit to Massachusetts this weekend, he was heckled by a pro-lifer.

Watch the video below.

The sign brought to the rally by the protester reads "Jesus Loves All Babies".

The passion for the cause can certainly be justified. The tactics can certainly be questioned. It plays into a media perception that pro-lifers/Christians are a little bit wacky. Guess what? We're not.

It leads to a bigger question. What is the most effective way to change hearts and minds? Screaming at pro-choicers or presenting your case armed with facts? What's the best way? I'd be curious to read your comments and will post them.

This could've been much more effective.

The BEST way to get your point across is to be peaceful, prepared, and steadfast. With planning, virtually anyone can get within a few dozen feet of anyone - with a sign & openly display it. It only takes planning:

I have extensive exp. & have NEVER been ejected: made the front page of Drudge, got a Vince Foster sign within 50' of Clinton, had 7 of my children shake W Bush's hand (some several times), had Heinze-Kerry swearing & spitting nails, had union thugs disrupt their OWN rally, asked Oboma FACE TO FACE about his brother, got Sara's autographs, had Kathy Mattea stumble on stage from my signs, made John Kerry stumble his speach when he saw us, & SUCESSFULLY refused the sevret service's repeated requests to leave a rally, whilst continuing to hold our counter-signs.

Also, peaceful son was pushed to the ground by union thugs ON CAMERA. ALL without ejection-ever! Just do it right

An identifiable message delivered with steadfast resolve in a highly visible fashion is much much more effective.

If the man had only stooed up front with any of the following type of messages, much, much, more for the cause would have been accomplished:

"Your mother chose LIFE"
"Abortion Stops a Beating Heart"
"YOUR mother was PRO-LIVE"
"Late term abortions kill me" (baby picture).

He should have silently made his point. Eventually, he'd have gotten some press, good press. He only needed to have his continued presence noticed, yet not act in a manner which could be construed as being disruptive. The secret service will honor citizens right to free speach, as long as it does NOT cross the line of disrupting the peace.

We cannot profess life and act like stupid or violent. Just garner the press to coax other like-minded to also profess their opinions to convince others to cause the nation to reflect on their conciences..

Maybe we Christians can show our pro-life message in a more constructive way, by say, adopting an unwanted child, thus saving it from abortion. Of course this may require getting to know the mother, and showing her (not telling her about) the love that Christ has for her. It may require getting some hands dirty. I guess you could say, walk the walk, instead of scream what you mean. It's easy to get all worked up emotionally and make a spectical of yourself, but does this really change anything? Does it really advance the Gospel?
