Unfortunately I couldn't hear your comments Dave, but anyway please let me point out that President Obama didn't start the war in Afghanistan, his predecessor, that vacuous fool bush did. Essentially, President Obama is saying that it is essential to our interests to obtain a closing. Is it necessary to send 30,000 more men to Afghanistan? Probably, at least President Obama gave this decision some thought and careful consideration. Will he be able to restrict Taliban influence from governing the nation? I doubt it, remember the Taliban were the same fighters who defeated the Russians. President Obama at least gives the impression he thought out this CATCH 22 that bush left him with. Will 30,000 troops be enough to do this? Only time will tell!
