In an interview with The Brody File, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich says when it comes to believability he thinks the Obama Administration is worse than the Nixon Administration.
Gingrich held nothing back in his comments as he painted President Obama as someone who simply is not leveling with the American people. Watch the clip below and I have provided the transcription below:
Newt Gingrich: “This is a man who recently went to the joint session of Congress speaking to the entire nation and said we will not add a dime to the deficit. Now that is so completely, fundamentally untrue that I’m not sure how you have the rest of the conversation so to try to take anything he says as though it has meaning I think is very dangerous because the only thing you can count on, even worse than the Nixon administration, this is an administration where you better look at what they do not at what they say because there’s no relationship between the two:
Brody: Well let me ask you or maybe it’s semantics. Is he misleading or is he straight out lying on a lot of this stuff?
Newt Gingrich: I think he’s saying whatever he thinks he has to say to get through the next interview. I don’t think it has any relationship to what they are doing. There are no serious people in this city none who believe that the health bill their writing are not going to increase the deficit. It’s just not true. And you go through item after item like this. There are pretty good studies now that they’re going to raise the cost of health insurance by $4,000 a family yet he wasn’t going to raise the cost to anybody if you had less than $250,000 year in income. There’s very good evidence that they’re going to take away Medicare Advantage from millions of senior citizens but he wasn’t going to take anything away from you. I’m just saying the gap between what he says and what he does is about as big as I’ve seen in my lifetime with an American politician.”
