Michael Jackson Take

Hey this is a blog right? So that means I can throw up anything for a little conversation right? Well, this has nothing to do with politics but I just a quick observation about all the Michael Jackson coverage.

Everybody has been making such a big deal that the coverage on Jackson has been excessive. I totally disagree.

The guy is an icon. He's a once in a lifetime musical genius but This is not about music and dance. The reason people are mourning like this is because Jackson brings back memories. This is personal. Jackson's moonwalking and Thriller videos transport many of us back to a fun period in our life. Jackson was a part of our upbringing.

Baloney. All this glorification of the Viscount of Vaseline and Prince of Pederasty is an obnoxious disgrace.

We need to becareful of what we do with Icons. The first commandment of God is: Have no other gods before me. EX 20:3
The second commandment of God is: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. EX 20:4
Sometimes we put people above God, we also seem to be weird in honoring those who have passed away and make it seem they are special and great. Ignoring completely those things he did that out match any goodness there was there. Watch who you worship that you not become one of them.

Michael Jackson was indeed talented. Regretfully, he used that talent for selfish gain. He is a tragic example of the futility of fame and fortune. Some of his dance moves, predatory pedaphilic use of young boys, lyrics, refusing his children a mother, surgical preoccupation with looks, and so on are unChristian to put it mildly. By the time of his passing, there was little to extol in him. He was self-centered to the extreme. Having said that, I must remind myself that I as a Christian should have compassion for ALL lost souls. I only wish he would have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior so he could have experienced the inner peace and joy that holds us through the trials we endure while in our temporary earth home. He did not find happiness and he is now lost forever. Worldly pleasures lose their appeal after a time and leave emptiness and desolation. A personal relationship with a loving savior is the only answer.
