The White House gave The Brody File a statement in response to why tickets were set aside for gay and lesbian organizations for today's Easter Egg Roll event at The White House.
"The White House provided about 100 tickets to gay and lesbian families for the same reason tickets were set aside for military families and local public school students - to follow through on President Obama's commitment to making the White House and activities hosted here as open and accessible as possible to the American people."
Josh Earnest, Deputy White House Press Secretary
The bottom line from The White House: they don't see this as any big deal. Gay and Lesbian groups are tickled pink at the gesture and for the most part, conservative Evangelical groups have stayed relatively silent. Maybe there's not a big fuss about it because a move like this is somewhat expected from this administration.
Does it bother you? Do you care? Would you like me to go jump in a lake?
