Oy-vey. We have a Catholic war over a Catholic nominee. Now conservative Catholics are up with a website bashing Kathleen Sebelius on abortion. The group “Catholic Advocate” is behind the effort. On the site, they even have a link saying the following:

"See Photo album of Sebelius partying with late term abortionist George Tiller"

Partying? Umm, c’mon. A bit of a stretch don’t you think?  You can check out the site here. 

Two days ago, the progressive Catholics United group started a website supporting Sebelius on the abortion issue. See it here.

As the Brody File predicted this has become a mini-war being played out on the religious front. In a way, Sebelius has really come to symbolize a much larger issue. This is not only about abortion. It’s about pro-life groups being very concerned that this “reducing abortions” argument is clouding the real issue. They see Sebelius and the pro-choice argument for her nomination as a threat to that.

Bottom line is this: Of course Pro-life groups want fewer abortions but they argue how you can be for reducing abortions if your policies encourage them and give money to organizations that perform them
