U.S., Senator Jim DeMint says President Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden should share the blame for this recession. The Brody File also asked DeMint whether he was concerned that if this stimulus works then Republicans will be seen as being on the wrong side of this bill. Read below and watch above.
"I think right now Republicans aren’t concerned about being on the wrong side of this legislation. We know the principles are wrong of borrowing and spending money. I think it’s very possible that the economy will begin to correct itself and I know the President would like to be able to say this massive spending plan actually fixed the economy. I think we’re going to see that this spending and debt, while it may create a little bump in the economy in the short term, is actually going to end up with much higher taxes and high interest rates. I just hope the American people will connect the dots when that happens because the President is now trying to blame George Bush for all the problems he’s facing. The fact is President Obama and Joe Biden voted for all this spending and borrowing over the last years and Senators and so this is very much their recession and it’s time that they take it seriously.”
