There’s a new sheriff in town and this sheriff says he “screwed up”.
Remember the old sheriff? That guy from Texas? He would never have said he “screwed up” even when the evidence may have pointed to the contrary.
It takes courage and some guts to go out on national television and admit you blew it. Critics will say he had no choice because of all the tax problems with Daschle, Killifer and Geitner. Well, wait a minute. Of couse he had a choice. Hey folks, Washington is all about spin and every politician plays the game. But in this case, Obama decided to “man up” and just admit the fact that it shouldn’t have come to this.
When have we last seen Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi say “I screwed up”. When have we last seen Mitch McConnell or John Boehner say it?
Sometimes you need to give credit where credit is due.
