Palin on Obama's Troop Funding Vote: What are you thinking?

If Sarah Palin had Barack Obama in a room all alone, what would she ask him? In my one on one interview with the Alaska Governor, she answers that question.

I interviewed Gov. Palin this weekend for 20 minutes in Lancaster, Pa. My full report can be seen Tuesday on The 700 Club. Check The Brody File for other clips regarding her faith, media scrutiny and much more.

Watch her answer above. The transcription is below.

Brody: If you had Barack Obama in a room all to yourself, what would be something you may want to ask him or talk to him about?

Palin: I would talk to him specifically about some of the issues that he has taken on that I do not believe are best for America. When he supported withdrawing funding for our troops over there in Iraq and Afghanistan, I want to talk to him about that. I want to find out why. On that issue specifically he had said he would not cast that vote, that he would not take any action to withdraw troops, or withdraw funding for our troops, yet under political pressure he did that, and even his own running mate called him out on it. Joe Biden said Barack that's a political move and that's going to cost lives, but he cast that vote anyway to withdraw the funding. I'd ask him about that. As the mother of one of the troops in Iraq, I would ask what are you thinking? Our young men and women are over there, the last thing they need to hear over there too is that someone of your statute Barack Obama would not support funding these young men and women over there who are fighting for our freedoms who are trying to protect us. I'd ask him about that. I'd ask him about the comment that he made to our troops over in Afghanistan are merely air raiding villages and killing civilians. That's not what our troops are doing over there. They're fighting the terrorists. They're protecting us. They're building schools for the children in Afghanistan, so there's hope and opportunity there, so I would speak to him about the record, his record, not getting into so much into values or principles that he would hold, but just calling him on his record and trying to find out why? Why have you done some of these things that I do not believe and I don't believe the vast majority of Americans can support.
