I guess you would call this a TKO in the first round. Barack Obama wins Virginia. Not really a surprise but Hillary Clinton was at least making a pretty decent effort there. Exit polls seem to suggest that moderates and Independents flocked to Obama.
Remember, Virginia is an open primary which means Independents can vote in either the Republican or Democratic primaries. If Independents decided to vote Democratic, that is good news for Mike Huckabee because it takes votes AWAY from John McCain. The fact that the networks haven't called the race for McCain yet in Virginia is a good sign for Huckabee. Stay tuned.
