Part 2 of My Interview With Israeli Ambassador Alon Pinkas

In Part 1 of my interview with Israeli Ambassador-at-Large Alon Pinkas (watch here), we discussed the Iranian nuclear threat and what needs to be done to neutralize it. As the Wall Street Journal's Bret Stephens describes in stark detail today, this question is becoming more imminent by the day for the Israeli government.

But there are other pressing concerns for the Israelis as well. In Part 2 of my interview with Ambasador Pinkas, we discuss the settlements controversy and whether Fatah's recent incendiary conference in Bethlehem made continued talk of a Palestinian state unrealistic.

# RE: Part 2 of My Interview With Israeli Ambassador Alon Pinkas

Great interview Erick. It was very informative and by the way Ambassador Pinkas carefully chooses his words throughout the interview, I can really get a feel for how extremely delicate every issue is when speaking of Israeli and Palestinian relations. I sort of get the feel that if I were Israel or one of Israel's leaders, that I would in some way feel slighted or in a way overlooked for lack of a better term by the West and the United States especially. It seems as though Obama and the US are a bit too unsympathetic for the position that Israel is in right now and for the postion that they have been in for a long time. I'm willing to bet that the general public for the most part would be surprised to see how small Israel really is and where they are postioned geographically with so many anti-Israeli countries around them. Its amazing how Israel has thrived this long and for the United States to somewhat side with the Palestinian territories is very disheartening.
