I attended a large and raucous pro-Israel rally today at the "6th and I St." synagogue in Washington, D.C. Over 1,000 people crammed into this historic building, waving Israeli flags and holding signs calling for an end to Hamas's Iranian-sponsored terrorist onslaught against Israel.
Speakers included Israel's ambassador to the United States, Sallai Meridor, as well as a bi-partisan group of lawmakers from Capitol Hill.
The event was the first of 175 such rallies that will take place across North America over the next few days as a forum for people to show their solidarity with Israel and support the Jewish State's defensive operation to root out Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
These events are a vitally important counterweight to the huge anti-Israel rallies that are taking place throughout Europe and America-and which, as I reported yesterday on CBN News - have been steeped in hateful, anti-Semitic rhetoric (see here for the latest example, this time out of Florida.)
