Canadian MP Irwin Cotler launched a global petition calling for international action against Iran.
"Ahmadinejad's Iran has emerged as a clear and present danger to international peace and security, to regional and Middle East stability, and to its own people," Cotler said.
"Bringing Ahmadinejad's Iran to justice is not a policy option - it is an international legal obligation of the first order," he said.
"Inaction in the face of overwhelming evidence is itself a crime," Cotler said.
