You may have heard news of a UN report issued Tuesday accusing Israel of "war crimes [and] possibly crimes against humanity."
The report - named after its author Richard Goldstone - investigated claims Israel violated international law during its war with Hamas in December 2008 and January 2009.
Israeli officials quickly condemned the report. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it "put Israel in a kangaroo court and was a prize for terrorists."
Israel's chief military advocate claimed "a campaign is being waged, partly for ulterior, political motives, in an attempt to make Israel look bad in the world."
CBN News met this week with many Israeli spokesmen charged with defending Israel in the court of public opinion. They consider this report more evidence of a calculated campaign to smear Israel and delegitimize the Jewish state. Many Jewish commentators agree.
