Egyptian Military Warns Obama: ‘Supporting Terrorism’ in Egypt is ‘Red Line’

According to a report titled “Sisi to Pentagon: We will not turn back, sovereignty is a red line,” published in Watan newspaper (Saturday, Aug. 17 edition), Egyptian Maj. Gen. Muhammad al-’Assar has just issued a strongly worded letter to the Pentagon, on behalf of the Egyptian military council, saying, among other things, “We will not retreat from fighting terrorism; the military does not run, for the [Egyptian] republic has leadership, and our message is clear: we will not allow red lines to be crossed.”

Regarding U.S. President Barrack Obama’s cancelation of joint military exercises with Egypt, criticism of the military’s crackdown on the Brotherhood, and threats of cutting U.S. aid to Egypt, Watan reported military sources as saying, “The American decision will not influence the course drawn by popular will” — a reference to the fact that the overwhelming majority of Egyptians reject Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood — and that “the military does not accept any external dictates and will not permit any nation to support terrorism in Egypt,” a reference to the fact that U.S. support for the Brotherhood is support for terrorism.

Military sources reportedly also told Watan news that contact with the American administration has completely ceased, though it remains open with the Pentagon, “which informed the Egyptian side of its fears concerning [Egypt's] closeness to Russia.

The Egyptian military is the only hope for Egyptian women who have gained the right to decide whether or not to wear the veil, to settling on marriage contracts before consenting to marriage, and to all levels of higher education. The MB wants these women back in the dark ages of Islam.

I can't believe that in just four years our country would turn from fighting terrorism around the world to supporting terrorism around the world. Thus far the Obama administration has supported Islamic terrorism in Iraq, in Iran, in Afghanistan, in Pakistan, in Egypt and in Syria just to name a few. Meanwhile, christians are being slaughtered in these and many other countries. It's sad; and the main stream news media (Pravda as I call them) remains silent about this.

Patrick, I believe there are many American's who do not understand how Obama could bring America to such a backwards state. A Nation known for it's defending the downtrodden, and helping the pursuit of "freedom". The MBH is none of these things, they are the enemy, and for Obama to make a speech like he did, makes America seem like the bad guy. We need to "take our USA back from this man, who is an Islam Muslim supporter, and who is trying his best to make America into a socialistic state. AND the persecution of Christians is what he also supports, having done many things against us in America. Besides calling himself a Christian hypocritically. Pray that God brings about honesty and truthfulness, right back into America. The Mainstream News Media is just like him, thinking they are an island unto themselves. And only they have the answer to the world's problems.

God is showing to the people Obama's heart, now we need to pray for awakening. The enemy knows that when people eyes are open he is out for good.

Patrick & bygrace- couldn't have said it better myself. You've accurately summarized the state of our foreign policy and the agenda of a presidency bent on leaving his "MARK" on the world. I pray our citizenry rise to the challenge of standing fast on what they know to be the truth in spite of the political spin Washington now seems to value above all else.

The voice of the American voter will be heard again in 2014. An opportunity to change Congress. And then we focus on a new President in 2016. The leading prospects include Hillary Clinton, Joseph Biden, Marco Rubio, and Paul Ryan. Chris Christie may also emerge, and he has become a friend to both sides of the isle. We have not heard from any of them regarding events in Egypt.

Tolerance is a word the liberals have force fed conservatives for over 50 years. Now you are seeing the results via Obama. You have same sex marriage, abortion on demand, no morality (Hollywood), lawlessness and an anti Israel President, and a supporter of Islamic terrorism. The chickens have come home to roost and God's wrath is on the US. Stop complaining, you got what you voted for. Humble yourselves and ask God for forgiveness for America or take the consequences.
