The violence between backers and opponents healthcare reform began last summer. I warned then that we were crossing a dangerous threshold in America toward civic breakdown. So here it is again, in case you missed it the first time.
But anyone who thinks the violence or threat of violence is only going in one direction does not read enough. Left-leaning Big Media has been much quicker to report threats against Democrats than say, the bullet fired into a Republican congressman's office in Richmond and threats against Tea Party leaders. And it mostly ignored the story of pro-Obama SEIU union thugs who beat up a black Obama opponent at a congressman's health reform hearing last year.
Do we really need to remind people that violent acts or threats of violence directed at lawmakers and citizens are despicable, inexcusable and un-American? If you don't like what's going on in Washington, get active politically.
