Killing flies is now a sin, apparently. At least over at Peta. That's the group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
My inbox is bombarded daily with "news spam." These emails are guest pitches from public relations firms. The firms offer "experts" to comment on current issues in the news. I thought you might enjoy reading this pitch:
Dear Mr. Hurd,
Many have ridiculed PETA’s reprimand of President Obama for swatting a fly during an interview earlier this week.
But PETA is right. No higher authority than the Bible says all animals are accepted in God’s sight and that their welfare and protection are essential parts of our duty as Christians and as human beings...
...In other words, we should no more kill a fly than we should animals for their fur or for our comfort.
