Angelina Jolie Visits Syrian Refugees

While I believe actors should mainly stick to acting, their celebrity status may often help bring attention to crucial humanitarian matters of our time.

Actress Angelina Jolie, Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner on Human Rights and Refugees (UNHCR), recently joined agency chief Antonio Gueterres on a visit with Syrian refugee in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.

Jolie and other celebrities like George Clooney (Sudan) deserve our praise and support for helping to focus our attention on the plight of suffering refugees and others in distress along the global lane.

Suffering Syrians desperately need our attention, prayers and help!

Wonder if Ms. Jolie enjoyed some delicious Lebanese cooking while in the Bekaa--dishes like tabouli, kibbeh and baba ganoush?

You may view her refugee visit in the video below. It was sent to us courtesy of the UNHCR.
