Do you enjoy wrapping presents? Not me! The mere thought of scotch tape makes me itch. I take pleasure in shopping for presents and giving them, but if it weren’t for the brilliant invention of the gift bag with tissue paper on top, I’d be sunk. I even opt for gift cards to circumvent wrapping. Any option available to dodge curly ribbon is good with me.
When I was 10 years old, a major musical motion picture about an orphan girl named Annie came out. That movie lit up my life and the lives of all my girlfriends. We sang the songs from Annie over and over again. In the movie, there’s a song titled "You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile" that reminds us that no matter what we’re "wearing on Main Street or Saville Row...
Because of Jesus death on the cross and resurrection life, we don’t have to suffer with the piercing pain of emptiness, rejection, and sin. Through Jesus we have the fellowship of love, the warmth of acceptance and we are forgiven all trespasses.
