Will You Suffer from Friggatriskaidekaphobia Today?

If you have Friggatriskaidekaphobia, you and 17 to 21 million other people may have an anxious day today. Today is Friday the 13th. Friggatriskaidekaphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th! While there is no causal evidence that links Friday the 13th to any bad event, this day can actually paralyze people with fear. We joke about the day, but it is no joke to those filled with anxiety.

Sandusky Trial: How Could His Family Not Have Known?

Before the verdict came for the Jerry Sandusky case, I heard a radio commentator ask, “If these accusations are true, how could his wife not know what he was doing?” It was a good question. It doesn’t seem possible that Dottie could be so unaware of her husband’s behavior. Yet, she vehemently maintained his innocence when questioned at his child sex-abuse trial, despite arguments that Jerry molested boys in their basement.
