My mom, sister, and I have traditionally made this recipe together since we were young. It has been one of our favorite Christmas treats and we still get together and make it to this day. Now it is one of our kids favorite treats.
This cake is really popular with my family because it is cool and light...and not at all "rich". It' is great with a glass of cold milk! A real hit, every time I have ever taken this to any kind of pot luck or covered dish meal...I always take home an empty pan afterward! It is easy to make and you can make it ahead of time.
