Sometimes a kiss is just a kiss, but other times it can lead to something more. Unfortunately for one Chinese woman, the "something more" after one intense lip lock wasn't quite a kiss to build a dream on; it made her deaf.
A twenty-something woman in China's Guangdong Province ruptured her eardrum after a passionate kiss, leaving her deaf. Apparently the increased pressure in her mouth during the kiss pulled her eardrum out of place, but her doctor says her hearing should return to normal in about two months.
Now the Guangzhou Daily is advising people to kiss with caution. Fortunately, this situation is the rare exception, so mistletoe fans don't need to hold back this Christmas season.
