Worship Leader: Trust God, Not Your Favorite Candidate

As Election Day draws near, everything from nation's economic woes to hot button social issues like gay marriage and abortion have taken center stage.

But members of the Christian community, like singer, songwriter and worship leader John Waller, suggest the nation would be better served if the Church put its hope in God rather than a political party.

Waller recently took part in Charlotte 714, a prayer movement seeking to lift up Jesus this election season as well as pray for the nation's leaders.

"We can't put our hope in either candidate for the presidency or anybody who's running for office. If we put our hope in man, we will be disappointed," he told CBN News.

I certainly understand and agree with Waller's main point; however, God is not apathetic toward these issues and accomplishes His will on earth through people; esp.those who belong to Him.
Therefore we should also be engaged in our Government and its leaders.

There is a choice that people say don't have a chance. Check out the Libertarian Party and Gov. Gary Johnson, and Ron Paul. Check out what they stand for, I did.

John Waller is right. Maybe that is what God is waiting for. What if all this time he has been looking for recognition on our part. Isn't it about time we got our priorities straight. God is not an object to put on the shelf until we make time for him. He wants to be in every part of our lives. If we all turn to him with one voice and call; he will act. It doesn't matter who we have in Congress, the Supreme Court or even the Presidency! He is more than able to turn this mess around. Lets give him a chance. Remember the tiny mustard seed that grows into a huge tree. Its branches hold the nest of birds. I like to think of our nation. It grew from a very small start into something far bigger than anyone could have imagined. It grew up because it was founded on God's principles - not ours.

Of course pray for the nation and put your trust in God. But according to Romans we are to take part in our government and abortion at all stages and same sex marriage is certainly not a "Jesus approved" platform.

Romney&rnc did NOT boo God 3x's! God has made it crystal clear who we, as faithful Christians will vote for(Romney/Ryan)because, we owe God our allegiance and IN GOD WE TRUST.

Shedding innocent blood is not a righteous act. If we vote for someone who willingly allows these things, it is the same as if we committed that act. The Word of God tells us that God especially hates this kind of thing. Cast your religious spirit out, and vote for what you know God tells us is true and right. If you don't know what to do, read your Bible. The Holy Bible clearly states what God loves and hates. The Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. It discerns the true thoughts and intents of our hearts. What an awesome and wonderful God we serve. He alone is worthy to be praised and worshipped. If we sincerely ask Him, He will guide us into all truth. He even guides us with His Eye. Our steps and our prayers will be ordered and inspired by Him if we trust in Him for all things. Hallelujah!1 John 3:7).Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8) He that committeth sin is of the devil

Tis probably won't be put through but i believe God is showing the answer if people will just askGod for the knowledge of what he is showing. God is about Love, and religious morals to all. He has shown what Obama is about. 1. for same sex marriage( against God) 2. make churches sin by furnishing contraceptives to relay messages that sex for teens is ok and murdering innocent fetus's is ok instead of teaching morals to us( all against God and gonna make the churches go against God PUBLICLY) 3. STOOD UP FOR the people to build a church of the same beliefs as the ones who murdered all those americans , instead of for us that , that was the One place that made the terrorist laugh because that was like giving us the finger(not very AMERICAN) 4. the only U S President to snub Isreal but make stops to all those countrys in middle east that is against them, and said he could not make time to see him when their prime minister came over here (against GOD) . I think God has shown us.
