Obama Online

President Obama has proposed multiple changes, but among the most noticeable thus far has been the shift in the use of technology.

Early in the campaign, Obama harnessed the power of the Internet and media far more effectively than his opponents.  From the iPhone mobile application to the massive online fundraising efforts, his campaign mobilized his supporters to contribute to the campaign in any way possible.

Even as President-elect, Obama set a new precedent, addressing the country on Youtube, rather than the radio.  Now there should be even more changes on the official White House page: Whitehouse.gov.

The Obama administration has pledged improved transparency, and will be providing blogs, slideshows, video addresses, and more.  Of course, nearly every administration kicks off their term with idealized visions of improved bipartisanship, transparency, and improving the security and welfare of the nation.

On the other hand, if Obama's campaign is any indication, he's set to raise the standard in the the way the president communicates with the American people.
