Greetings from Rwanda!
I just got in from the launch of the nationwide 40 Days of Purpose. It is a historic day for Rwandans. From the shores of Lake Kivu to the streets of Kigali, it is the start of a concentrated effort by 600 churches across the country to seek out their life's purpose using Rick Warren's book Purpose Driven Life.
According to figures from the Rwandan government, there were somewhere in the neighborhood of 19,000 people in the stadium that seats about 25,000! There was singing, dancing and preaching. Rick Warren and the President of Rwanda also spoke.
There was also a graduation ceremony of Rwandan pastors that have gone through intensive training over the past two years.
There's a lot more to say about this amazing event. We will have an in-depth report on this later this week. However, through out this week, I will be posting blogs from Rwanda. Check back every so often this week.
