Obama & The Oil Spill

Tomorrow, President Obama will face questions from the press. He will, no doubt, be drilled hard (pardon the pun) about the federal government's response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill off the Gulf Coast. Then, Friday, he'll travel to Louisiana to assess the latest damage.

Speaking at a California solar panel company today, President Obama said his administration won't rest until the hole is plugged.  But this whole situation has become a gusher of a public relations nightmare for the White House.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the press conference tomorrow. Also tomorrow, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will give a report on the causes of the Deepwater Horizon accident to the president.

The White House has said no new drilling would happen until this accident was thoroughly examined.
