Here's a little background I got from a White House official on what to expect during President Obama's remarks on health care today at 1:45pm:
"The President will deliver remarks about moving forward into the final stage of the health insurance reform debate."
Interesting language, isn't it? "Health insurance reform."
The thing about covering the White House is, you have to read every single word. There are often big messages in those tiny, slight word changes.
Expect the President o reiterate why he thinks reform is so crucial. Expect him to talk about how his proposal includes ideas from both parties. And, expect him to urge Congress to move swiftly toward votes on this legislation.
Secreatary of Health & Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius will also be there today. And, the President will be joined with health care professionals from around the country. (Not unlike he was a a health care event at the White House almost exactly a year ago, March 5.)
USA Today has an interesting article about how now some of those "regular folks" are weary of the health care debate.
