# RE: Obama and Netanyahu Meet

Scott,

I fully agree this conference with Obama and Netanyahu is huge. The fact that Obama is looking to Netanyahhu to help him find common ground shows, I feel, Obama and possibly Netanyahu are two of the blessed peacemakers who wiil be called the children of God as Jesus prophesied in Matthew 5:9. We should be praying that these two men and all peacemakers work toward reconciliation and restitution of all things as this is God' s will according to prophecy. God' s peacemakers will not work to find a compromise or temporary truce but rather they will work to first find the common ground of God' s truth upon which all parties can agree. Then the parties can build upon such common agreement as to the things of God as a point of beginning to eventually reconcile all things (thoughts and beliefs) to God' s truth. For example, both Palstinians and Israelis should be able to agree that all mankind are created in the image of God and we are thus all the children of God. Dave

Scott,

Thanks for this. Having lived among Christian Palestinians for two years I am especially praying for an end to the Israeli occupation of their land and control of their lives. When justice is reached for the Palestinians, so many other things will take care of themselves.

I am praying and have been. I truly believe Netanyahu is the man for the hour in Israel. Benjamin means 'son of my right hand' so I pray he will be that to God and Jesus as far as their will is concerned: on earth as it is in heaven. I know he has heard the gospel but I'm not certain what he thinks about it. With Iran's threats looming and all the other 'issues', Israel certainly needs leaders with the courage of David. We also desperately need wisdom in leaders, which I'm not seeing much of these days. I see knowledge but not wisdom which is, in great part, the ability to apply knowledge. Since wisdom is found in the Holy Spirit it kind of says something about where He isn't allowed nthese days. By the way, didn't you interview Netanyahu a few years ago? Guess you've struck a nerve in me again. I have opinions which don't mean that much to God, but I do have convictions - things I am willing to die for. Israel is a conviction I have because God said 'she' has a right to exis

Scott,

Let's pray that America/President Obama does not "injure ourselves" by taking the wrong side on Israel/Jerusalem.

"On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves." (Zech 12: 3-4) - NIV

all who lift it will be severely injured (NAS)

All who try to lift it will rupture themselves. (The Message)'

all who lift it or burden themselves with it shall be sorely wounded. (Amplified)

All the nations will gather against it to try to move it, but they will only hurt themselves. (NLT)

all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces (NKJV)

Thanks, Scott. I think it’s not an exaggeration to say that the Israeli Body is praying, many fasting too…thank you so much!

# RE: Obama and Netanyahu Meet

Scott,

Thank you for establishing this CBN blog. When I was was attending Regent (then CBN university), You will recall I even attended your homegroup meeting a few times. My experience at Regent University was a turning point in my life when I first began to look for what God was and is doing in the world today. Now today, as has been true in the past, to find out what God is doing we should look first to what he is doing regarding the nation of Israel. In times past, we can read scripture to know that sometimes God lead the armies of Israel against other nations and sometimes he directed other nations against Israel. Lest we deceive ourselves regarding Israel to day, we should find out God' s rationale for supporting Israel in the past and also for coming against Israel. I have come to understand that in God's mind, the nation of Israel represents a microcosm of all nations. And therefore when the people of any nation turn their hearts toward God and pray then God will heal them.

It is critical for the US and each individual to support Israel. Each nation will be divided by weather it supports Israel or not. I just pray scriptures.

I have observed a rise of antisemitism in the church. This too, concerns me.

Response to William Pax
Mr. Pax, Palesentinians' land and home was to be TransJordan (present day Jordan). The Arabs could not get along and the Palestinians now live where they are now. Jordan was a much bigger area for them to live. Israel land was purchased and paid for by loans made by Mr. Rothchild. Nothing was stolen.
My good friend Derek Prince lived and worked with the Arabs first before God called him to serve Israel. NOT ONCE did he ever speak against Israel. He relied and lived on scriptures in the Bible.

Scott,

Strangely enough, just after I mentioned the need for peace in the lives of the Christians in the Holy Land I learned that this (below) is the cover story on the new National Geographic. It is a very fair and balanced look at the life of the Christians of the Holy Land. Maybe it's providential that it's in such an important publication for Christians in America to know better how to pray for the Christians of the Holy Land. I do hope you'll link it in you email with some of the comments. Thanks. William

# RE: Obama and Netanyahu Meet

When presidents and prime ministers get together, it is never really a search for truth; it is a search for the right message to deliver to their own intended constituencies. President Obama brings very little grounded understanding of the Middle Eastern power paradigm to the table. When Obama chatters at Iran, it is reminiscent of Chamberlain trying to chat up Hitler over cocktails, poor thing.
So far, he sounds as if he believes that it is simply an extension of historic tensions in the American South that can be resolved with an everybody-rides-on-the-bus pluralism, little realizing that the absolutely perfect solution for some of the passengers is just to blow up the bus…period. He acts as if he believes that we can just talk Iran’s leaders into giving up their inbred theology of destroying Israel to usher in their Messiah.
Jeepers, as I watch this stuff unfolding on television, I’m left with one enduring question…what else is on?

THANKS SCOTT
I have read these comments.. interesting.
One thing I know...God loves all peoples but he has a special place in His Heart for this Land and The people of this land. "Blessed are the peacemakers".
But may that peace be His peace and His timing.
I hate to see children suffer as the result of the inventions of war... I pray the Prince of Peace will come soon!
aside...
I wanted to say that , even though I have an artist's facebook and a my space--I never go there because--there just isn't time to talk to thousands of people. How do folks do it????
There are just not enough hours in a day.
I do occasionally respond to entries on my web site however.

Keep up the good work. These are indeed the last days. Can you believe just how fast the whole "scene" is changing?!
