CSNTM Director Dr. Daniel B. Wallace recently received permission to send a team of four men to Albania to photograph the manuscripts with state-of-the-art digital equipment. By the end of their first day in Tirana in July, they realized there were far more than 13 manuscripts.
“Purse strings of liberal filmmakers have financed anti-Christian values and moral decadence through film for decades,” remarked Phillips. “They have had their day, and now is the time for a Christian reformation in filmmaking.”
Christianity Today announced its 2008 book awards this week. This year, 49 publishers nominated 359 titles published in 2007. CT editors selected the top books in each category, and then panels of judges — one panel per category — voted. In the end, they chose 10 winners and gave 11 awards of merit to the books that shape evangelical life, thought, and mission.
"In this children's book, written in 1954, we find an elephant whose name is Horton. He is the prophetic Church with big ears and a large trumpet. He can hear what no one else can hear -- the sound of these little people called, The Whos, who live in the microscopic town of Who-ville. ... Wow! I realized that what I was reading was a parable from the past that was now going to be used en masse, for the ending of abortion."
The legitimate discovery of the "Cities of the Plain," as Sodom and Gomorrah are called in the Bible, would provide solid archaeological evidence that the historical information in Genesis is factual. "Such a discovery would be one of the most important biblically-related archaeological finds in history," Dr. Steven Collins said.
The Lord is speaking through his prophets to the Church today. Two of the most respected prophetic voices today are Cindy Jacobs and Bishop Bill Hamon. Here are a couple of words regarding the Church in 2008 that should be prayerfully considered.
